The Beacons

Hailing from Exmouth, Devon, THE BEACONS were formed in early 2010; due to their constant and relentless gigging the band had by April built up a massive following on Myspace which took them to the top of the Myspace unsigned indie chart. This led to live sessions on a host of South West radio stations which have included, BBC Radio Bristol, BBC Radio Devon, BBC Radio Cornwall, Exeter FM, Phonic Fm, Bay FM and Riviera FM. All this attention has helped the band gain national recognition and interest from independent labels and promoters.

In July THE BEACONS released their debut EP Against The Grain, which was recorded at Coombeshead studios. This EP has received critical acclaim from the media and fans alike. At Present THE BEACONS are in the studio in Plymouth putting the final touches to their debut album which is due for release early in the New Year.

Plans for a national tour and some major support slots in the New Year are now under negotiation, and the Band are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album due for release in early 2011.
